I was testing out the new lens today, (very pleased), taking some pics of an Orchid. The pics themselves weren't anything to right home about from an artistic pov as I was just checking focus, DOF etc. I did have a play with one of the snaps in PS and came up with this.
Sort of highkey but not if you know what I mean.

I think it's almost there but not quite, any thoughts?

harsh shadow, try a natrual light and set the camera up on a beanbag using ISO100, using the camera's flash doesn't seem to be giving the right result any reason why u had ur camera set on ISO200? or is 1/125 important? @ 70mm u could shoot as low as 1/30 and not have to worry about shake - unless ur a shaky kind of guy ;)
a different coloured bg is needed because of the white petals
looks like u didn't take the flower head on - might be worth working on the symetry?
i'd loose the drop shadow from ur name as well - looks classy but would look pimp without :)

none other than I didn't check my settings before playing lol doh!
I'll re-shoot and try again. I know there's a nice highkey image there somewhere just got to find it.
Thanks bob
