In the past couple of threads that NBK has posted in there's been alot of unwarranted abuse, ie, being quite nasty to him when he's said a perfectly reasonable thing.
He might have been a bit dodgy and perhaps a little abusive in the past, but cut the guy a little slack. From what I've seen of his past few posts they've been pretty reasonable and it appeared like he was trying to turn over a new leaf, but a bunch of you aren't letting him because when he does post, you make some nasty comments.
He might have been a little flame heavy in the past, but no-one should be denied the benefit of an extra chance and certainly not someone who is just growing up.

i admit once or twice i have been say.. to the point about how mad i might bebut I dont jump on the old "its NBK lets flame him" wagon.
I agree with Jolt. It looks bad to flame someone like we sometimes do. I have to say its not just NBK who gets it, there have been several user who gey slayed in the boards with provercation.
PS this excludes Cripsy as we have a god given right to abuse, flame and destory him. Specialy after the fit his avatar gave me last night.

well i try not to flame ppl for no reason (tiny, insignificant reasons, YES , but not none :u08 :p )
however NBK has burnt all his bridges with me, if it was just him being a BIT dodgy and abusive in the past, i mite well be able to forgive and forget..
but it was the constant barage of abuse to regular users, AND new users in IRC that formed my opinion of him, not just a few isolated incidences.
personally the way i feel is that its gona take more then a couple of mild mannered posts to change my opinion of him.
perhaps ill change my mind in the furture, who knows, but for now the very mention of his name, and the reaction he inspires from a lot of users, is enough to dredge up these opinions of him, and remember just how quick he used to turn from being reasonable to being a downright ubusive, unwanted tw@t.
sorry to be so negative, but im just being honest.

You say alot of users, but when I look in the past couple of threads he's posted in, apart from one off Colio, they all seem to be from you.
He may have upset alot of people in the past, but I suspect it's mostly forgiven and forgotten.

I don't need to look harder, if there are others, they aren't making it apparent in EVERY thread that he posts in.
Speaking as a user, and not an admin, I personally reflect allot of Fishwicks views, once you've been kept stuck at your PC waiting for him to disrupt IRC channels again and again you soon lose the will to forgive and forget.

Don't think I was here when he was using all of this abuse because I don't remember it, so I'm totally ok with the guy, on the other hand if he was to go on a rampant slagging match then my opinions would change, and at that point it's hard to change them back.
So I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, besides all of my digging is in jest anyway, and I usually take a flaming back anyway.....gambit/Rupert!
i was banned originally for asking how long 3o minutes was (the letter o not the number 0)
and then perm banned after pm with rasher :p
tbh i hardly "disrupted" your channel...i only spoke to a few people in there

i personally temp banned you at least 30 times, and had numerous complaints about you before ure permanant ban.
and thats just me.
i have clearly stated my opinion, and dont care wot u (NBK) think about it.
but as other ppl have a problem with me battering you (Jolt), i will stop, cos i dont particularly want to get into an argument about you.

Your IRC is in an on going ban
and at this moment in time i can not see anything you have done wrong on these boards (recently)
There was one post you did almost get banned for - it was just lucky on your half that we didn’t do a life ban after what he did (we removed it before anyone could see it - believe me you wouldn’t of wanted to of seen it)
So before you make out your all innocent - you not
Like i say - you haven’t done anything wrong in my eyes recently on the boards - but you have done your best to pi$$ the admins off (you haven’t been about when this has happened Jolt) - so its no wonder that some of these people do not have the time for you.

He pissed me off a few time in IRC, just glad I had the common sense to actually know that he was some naive ****** who didnt have a clue.
Anything that happens now is precisly what is deserved.
(Wasnt gonna enter into this but im guilty of flaming him too)

not in defence of NBK or anything, but ive said the same as Jolt in a couple of threads before.
there's a helluva lot of sheep around here and only a couple of shepeards... bandwagon opinions/flaming is more than rampent at times.
quite a few "NBK haters" have only become that way because they joined the wagon for no reason, and got some backlash one way or another.
like Jolt, ive never had any run ins with NBK, so at times u read some replies and wonder if they were warrented.
however, ive heard loads from other people who havnt been as fortunate, and going that i know them better, im inclined to believe them.
technically, i should say, that even tho NBK may have been a tit, its no excuse to jump on his every post and rip it apart.. but im the most vindictive person i know, and if it was someone like Scranton say who posted (and he does from time to time, and it still triggers the same reaction from me), id do the same, so ive got no room to talk.
like i said, not defending either way, just stating some people need to get their own opinions/experiences, not "take on the cause" of other peoples :)

I haven't had a run in with NBK (either bad or good) so i haven't got an opinion of him, but what others have told me of what he's done in the past (what i presume the flaming is regarding) then what happened then was justified.
Just wanted to say that as far as I am concerned, then if he's ok with me, i'm ok with him.
And I know a lot of u who know of what's happened will try and enlighten me into what happened, but frankly i'd like to make my own opinion of someone (and not be told it by someone who has a strong dislike of the person in question) :u17

I prolly get fl4m3d for saying this, but ive never really had a _huge_ problem with NBk... i wasnt around when he was perma banned from irc, so i dunno what that was all about (was on hols i think) but he's in a few other channels im in, such as #jolt etc, and ive never seen him behave particularly bad.
Granted, he has been a *** sometimes on here, but ive talked to him quite often and he's always been nice enuf to me...
TBH i think it adds another side to the community.. cuz most of the time NBK disagrees with whatever anybody is saying. thats NOT bad, cuz for example in a debate over something, you need two 'sides' before its a debate....err ye...
As i said, ive never had any problem with him, but maybe he loves me secretly and thats why ive never seen his 'worse' side.:u15 :u22
