Dragon Age: Origins
Soooooooo after having the discussion on which one people should buy, who's playing as what?
Just reached Lothering myself as a Human Mage. This game is sexual. I just love it's presentation - everything is just sharp. There's loads of little touches as well - especially the surround sound details.

Re: Dragon Age: Origins
I restarted last night, as you know from me *****ing about my urges to restart...
Currently at Lothering myself after starting as a Human Warrior - big ass two-handed swords with heavy armor, including the red ME comaptible armor I got for buying deluxe.
I also have an Elf Rogue, who I suspect I'll play as more, who is also at Lothering.
And now I'm off to play it again.
EDIT: May as well post this, anyone with an account can look at it I think, it shows my current characters and stats etc... though it's pretty slow to update:

Irritatingly, my character can't use that armour. I will just have to level Alistair (sp?) up accordingly (who for the record, rocks with this sarcasm).
Did you rebuy the game in the form of the digital deluxe then... (which for the record, I can't seem to find my special rings (or are they passive and aren't actually items in game)?

Re: Dragon Age: Origins
I re-bought it yeah. A mate of mine couldn't be bothered going to the shop to buy it, so he bought my boxed copy, I then went on to buy deluxe.
You had it on pre-order, yeah? I don't get the rings as it was only for pre-purchasers. I think I remember reading somewhere that except for the one piece of armor, the rest of the deluxe stuff is in your group camp (including the rest of the red armor), which I assume we just haven't gotten to yet.

Ah that could explain it. I've unlocked the option to travel to the camp I think, just got to get through Lothering. I think there's an icon in the top right hand corner on the travel map to go to your camp. I'll give it a look this evening.
Cheers for that, I was a bit puzzled.

Re: Dragon Age: Origins
Ahaa score. I'm gonna put it on now, decide whether to play as my Elf or Human. Either way I'm at Lothering, so I'll go back to the map and see if I can see the camp option.

Sodding sodding sod!
I just went to my party camp, and it's true, the other armor pieces are there (I'll assume your pre-purchase rings, too), but you have to buy them. I haven't really got much money right now, so I'll have to go looting before I can even buy the other pieces.
Some good stuff in the shops after you leave Lothering though.

Ah right. I didn't get to play it last night (BL ate an hour, and FM the other two) so missed the chance to check myself. I'll have a look tonight .

Note to any budding rogues - equip your bow before trying to fire an arrow (aka starting cutscene fail)

Re: Dragon Age: Origins
Lol, I had a bow at that part. Wish I didn't though, would have been lols - unlike the rest of that origin story. I didn't like that one, much prefered the other Elf origin. Revenge FTW.

Re: Dragon Age: Origins
I'm an Elven Rogue as my main right now, best character I've used so far, personally - and I've tried them all at least once.
