UK trade group says piracy not a big issue
According to GamesIndustry.biz, 90 percent of TIGA members in the UK recognised piracy as a growing problem, but only 10 percent said that it was significant threat to the continued vitality of the industry.

Re: UK trade group says piracy not a big issue
Doesn't surprise me. My biggest annoyance is when people quote 'lost dollars' - as in 120,000 people pirated the game and therefore we've lost that much money.
It's unlikely the majority of people would have bought the game in the first place, so it's inaccurate to say you're losing money...

And out of them 120,000 people, there are some that will have been using it as a demo, to find whether the game was worthy of a purchase. So piracy can also act in their favor for better conversion rates.
