Whoa, that is insane. I have heard of people killing or seriously injuring people before as a result of dreaming. What is the name of that sleep drug, Ambien i think. I've heard some pretty good and bad things about its effects. Its classed as a sedative and hypnotic. Seems to me like that could set the stage for some people to do something incredibly stupid. I'm sure there are plenty of cases where dreaming let to some kind of a disaster. I myself slept walked and fell straight down the steps as a child.

I sleepwalk and sleeptalk, and I've done some weird shizz in my sleep - ate half a packet of pork scratchings, signed into MSN and sent a message to my girlfriend of complete gibberish followed by a few emoticons, went and p*ssed in the laundry hamper - but that is heavy. I remember the story of the guy who murdered his wife and was nearly sent to prison for it until it was proven he was sleeping.

Absolutely heartbreaking. Can't help but well up a little at the phonecall.
